Paddock Farm is a post-industrial property at 361 S. Paddock St. This property was once part of a network of rich wetlands, rivers, oak savannah, and mixed hardwood forest that spanned Southeast Michigan.
Built with assistance from OHLSA and Micah 6 volunteers in 2018, our first growing season was 2019. It is evolving into a perennial fruit-focused garden (strawberries, raspberries, asparagus, and rhubarb) in an experimental community u-pick model to help train gardeners in fruit management and harvesting. Paddock Farm features a rainwater collection unit, sensory herb garden, and native flower installation.
Stop by anytime to check out the garden, or check out our calendar or Facebook for volunteer days, workdays, tours, and classes!
